This amount represents a “retainer” fee; any additional charges above and beyond what is outlined will be billed to the parties’ legal representatives or, in the case of a pro se party, to the party themselves and must be paid within thirty (30) days of the billing date.

A 1.5% fee is charged daily for any payment exceeding thirty (30) days.

An Standard 711 Evaluation includes the following:

Two (2) parents and up to three children under the age of fourteen (14); additional children under the age of fourteen (14) will be billed at an additional charge of $75.00 per child.

Children aged fourteen (14) and older must be treated as adults, and full background checks, including TDPRS and Criminal History check + interviews, will be billed at a rate of $100.00 (in addition to the base rate).

Any person over the age of fourteen (14) NOT a child subject to the Court-ordered evaluation substantially involved in the life(s) of the child (ren) (including, but not limited to, extended family, fiancés, friends, paramours, roommates, etc. will be billed at a rate of $250.00 (in addition to the base rate).

Please note:

A signed Court Order including the names of said individuals must be obtained by the attorney representing the parent with the inclusion. If a parent represents themselves Pro se, they are responsible for filing a motion before the Court for signature BEFORE the evaluation can be started.

Included in the Evaluation Base rate, is:

• • • Document/Record review, including all prior and current school, medical, mental health, law enforcement, child/adult protective service, employment, housing, and financial records.
    • Home visit with each parent while with the child(ren), individual interviews with all children over four (4).
    • Any additional party over the age of fourteen will be billed at $160.00 per hour.
    • Conference by telephone, email/fax, or in person with any person involved with your case will be billed at $25.00 per .25/hour increments.
    • Criminal Background Check and Texas Family Background Check.
    • Report Writing and documentation preparation.
    • Testimony through deposition or at trial. Dr. Johnson’s fee for testimony is $600.00 for a half day (four hours), or $1200.00 for a full day (8 hours) The party, or the attorney representing the party, requiring Dr. Johnson’s testimony, is responsible for the fees.

A 50% charge will be made against the retainer for any rescheduling or cancellation without forty-eight hours’ written notice.

• • • All fees are due 48 hours prior to testifying.
    • Related expenses such as photocopying and computerized/or library research.
    • Travel (portal to portal) and lodging expenses will be charged at the 2024 IRS mileage rate of $0.67 per mile. Travel time is billed at the base rate of $160.00 per hour (if driving) or $80.00 per hour (if flying or taking any other means of travel). According to the instruction of the division of costs by the Court, it is the parties’ responsibility to pay for any travel costs such as lodging or travel tickets).
